My Grandfather was a keen amateur photographer. I use to play with his camera when I was a kid. Wish I'd kept it but it disappeared with many of his belongings when he died in 1972. He also did a lot of sailing around Moreton Bay from 1910 till the outbreak of WWII. I have some wonderful photos of those days which I've posted before on this site. I'll repost the best of them.
Recently I purchased a scanner which can process negatives and slides. It's been a revelation as he also left a couple of bags of old black and white negatives, many of which I'd never seen in print. I've just started to process them and thought I'd upload a few here. Mostly family and social shots - a glimpse of world long gone - particularlu that period last century between the World Wars.
Above is a great pic of a vehicular ferry terminus somehwere in the Brisbane area I'm guessing. Late 20s or early 30s.
